Felin
Crewi Water Mill, built in the mid 16th Century to full
cloth, was converted in the early-19th century to mill wheat,
barley, and oats for the local community.
The adjoining
Granary, originally a dairy, and The Mill were restored in
1985, being
visited by HRH The Prince of Wales in 1987. Sympathetically
converted in 1999
into self-catering and bed and breakfast accommodation, many
of the original features have been retained: exposed beams,
inglenook fireplaces, slate walls and the mill machinery on
display with the water wheel still turning.
Located in the
Dovey valley, 20 minutes drive from the coast, Felin Crewi
provides and ideal base from which to explore the beautiful
scenery and many attractions of Mid Wales. The three acres of
grounds and riverside walk provide a relaxing environment in
which to enjoy your holiday.
